I know this is an old post, but the bit about estrogen affecting fat distribution is very interesting to me. I’ve always stored fat in my middle, even as an otherwise-skinny tween. I’m very happy with my weight otherwise, but the disproportionate belly-bulge worries me health-wise (and vanity-wise, of course). I’ve always assumed this was either an annoying personal quirk or stress-related, but I never thought about it being a hormonal issue. Maybe I should get a hormone panel done. Have you found a good silver-bullet way to increase/balance estrogen, or is it just as incredibly complex as everything else in the human body? Let me guess… 😉
This is a common problem with pellets. If you go looking for forums on the matter, you will see that it is rather typical for patients to have a similar response somewhere around the 4th and 5th implantation. This stems from poor oversight/management, and design flaws in the pellets themselves. Keep in mind that all pellets are made the same way. This may seem beneficial at first glance, however, what this really means is that “6 months” worth of medication dissolves in a way that sends your levels far too high in the first month, and then plummeting far too fast and low in the next 2-3.
My point is, if you have severely low progesterone go to a doctor if you can and if you can’t eat healthy as possible and get some progesterone natural cream. You can and more then likely will have a stroke if you let it go too long. I just thought I wasn’t woman enough to handle the changes when I was menstruating and never told anyone, don’t ever just think it’s normal and not ask. I am trying to fix it myself (I have no insurance) but who knows if it will work or not. My period starts tomorrow so we will see.
